First Appointment in Zionsville

During your first appointment, you will have a one-on-one consult with either Dr. Danielle or Dr. Ben. They will start by going over the new patient paperwork and discussing the goals you have for care. At Foundations Chiropractic, we truly care about your health and ask that you provide as much additional detail as you can about your individual needs and concerns.

After connecting one on one and determining that you are in the right place and a good chiropractic candidate, we will proceed with a complete Chiropractic exam. The following are some of the things we may look at:

• Chiropractic Evaluation - Several different actions will be completed to help the doctors decide on the right course of action for your care. The evaluation will include visualization, a posture check, motion palpation, orthopedic and neurological testing.
• Heart Rate Variability - our state-of-the-art CLA Insight scanning technology allows us to best assess the balance of your nervous system and give us a sense of your overall stress levels and adaptability
• Thermography - This is a type of thermal imaging that will evaluate temperature differences down the spine and locate areas that may have nerve disturbances. This will help us visualize the nerves and muscles that are potentially causing the problem.
• X-Ray - Based on these findings X-rays may be required to help us see the structure of your spine and determine the level of spinal degeneration as well as the curves of your spine.
  This appointment should take about 45 minutes to an hour.

Second Appointment

When you return to Foundations Chiropractic for your second visit, either Dr. Ben or Dr. Danielle will address all of the data that was gathered on the first appointment and make it understandable. The Doctors will put together a specific individualized care plan based off your needs and goals for care and answer any questions you may have. Upon completion of the ROF and Care Plan recommendations you will have your first Chiropractic adjustment!

This appointment should take about 45 minutes.

A Note for Parents

One final thought to put you at ease if you are a parent - we get that going into busy, public spaces can be a struggle for your kiddos at times. While we are incredibly kid and family friendly, we understand the challenge that bringing along your kiddo may present. You are always more than welcome to bring your kids with you to your appointments/their sibling's appointments and we always have toys around to keep them busy.

Additionally, please let us know before your child's first visit how we can best serve you and your family. Phone consultations, splitting our assessment into multiple shorter visits, or blocking off hours for an in-office adjustment with fewer people and distractions are all accommodations that we are happy to provide to make your child feel more comfortable.
